Mr. Batis has been the guest speaker at luncheon
and dinner meetings for lenders, attorneys, assessing officials,
estate planners, project managers, right of way supervisors, appraisers, and
land acquisition experts.
Mr. Batis has made presentations on various topics
including the following: real estate valuation in regard to estate planning
issues and federal estate tax returns; appraisal requirements and
professional standards and their impact on mortgage/financing appraisals;
how to analyze the impact of easements and other property encumbrances on
property value; researching and extracting market data to determine the
presence of remainder damages; and, highest and best use as it pertains to
proposed pipeline easements.
